Welcome and residents check in at the Wellfleet house beginning at 12pm

Meet and greet at Wellfleet house, set up communications and go over upcoming week

CLASSES BEGIN!

Morning Session (9am-12pm): Landscape with Iliya and Anne

Evening session (4pm-7pm): Landscape with Iliya and Anne

Tues July 16

Morning session : Landscape drawing focus on composition, value, simplification (Iliya)

Evening session: Landscape painting, quick studies (Anne)

Wed July 17

Morning session: Landscape painting/drawing (Anne)

Afternoon session (2pm-5pm): Figure and gesture, and movement drawing (Iliya)

Thu July 18

Morning /Afternoon sessions: Figure painting (Iliya and Anne)

Fri July 19

Morning session: Landscape drawing, Details and Studies (Iliya)

Evening session: Evening Landscape Painting (Iliya and Anne)

Sat/Sun July 20-21

No instruction on weekends, but we will often plan optional group outings/activities, or prepare a meal for everyone.

Mon July 22

Morning session: Landscape painting focusing on perspective (Iliya)

Afternoon: portrait sketching the group (Iliya)

These are the foundational materials that everyone attending the retreat should be sure to have by the time classes start, regardless of the medium you will be working with.

PLEASE NOTE: The linked suggestions are of good quality products that are reasonably priced. If you already have these supplies, it is not necessary to repurchase them from this list. If they are not accessible or you would like recommendations at a different price point, please don’t hesitate to reach out for more advice. We will also arrange for supply runs on location before the start of classes and during the retreat if needed.
